Insurance: Do you have
Insurance? If you do have insurance with mental health benefits, then some
or all of the fees for our services may be covered. This is by no means a
sure thing, however. If you find that a particular psychologist listed here
is compatible with your needs, and you wish to use your insurance to help
pay for the services, please call your insurance company and find out what
they will pay for him or her. First, find out if he or she is “in network”
and if so what your co-pay and deductible if any will be. If he or she is
not in the network, it still might work out for you to use your insurance to
see this person. Often insurance companies will pay a percentage of the fees
for “out-of-network” providers, but at a lower rate than “in-network”
provider. Check with your insurance company to find out what your deductible
and percentage co-pay will be for this out-of-network psychologist. You can
also choose to ask us to do this for you after your first session, but if
you do this you will need to pay in full for that first session.
NO Insurance? We will work with
you: Many of the psychologists affiliated with PFPA have sliding scale slots
for people who do not have or do not wish to use insurance.
Please contact
the psychologist that you want to see and simply ask about
discounts available for clients not using insurance.
